Tasos, a Greek national, joined TOMRA Sorting Recycling in 2011 in the role of Middle East Sales Engineer.
In his new role, Tasos will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to exceed regional sales objectives, providing leadership to TOMRA Sorting’s sales executives and professional staff, and delivering strategies to secure a strong sales pipeline.
Tasos will be based at TOMRA’s Dubai Subsidiary, TOMRA Sorting DMCC and will report into Jonathan Clarke, Commercial Director Recycling, who previously held the role that Tasos has now taken over.

Tasos has over 13 years’ waste and recycling experience, having managed several technical projects in the waste to energy sector, including the development of an R&D Thermal Plant valued of £5m. He also managed public funds to facilitate growth in the Low Carbon Sector in the UK. For the past six years he has developed and designed several Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs) in Europe and the Middle East.
Tasos has an MBA Degree from Durham University (UK), a Master of Engineering Degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Sheffield University (UK) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Management from Ioannina University (Greece). He is a Certified Waste Professional through the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM), a Certified Project Management Professional (PRINCE 2) and an Associate member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) in the UK.
