Near-InfraRed (NIR) Spectroscopy Technology by TOMRA

Near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) allows examining food products using light beyond the visible spectrum, into the near-infrared region.

NIR spectroscopy detects features and qualities of product that are impossible to see by humans with visible light.

With TOMRA's NIR technology it is possible to identify certain chemical and molecular differences and changes on the surface and within the objects being inspected.
