Internal Marketing and Communications Internship

We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications intern for a 6-9-month period.

Position Overview

TOMRA is a Norwegian multinational collection and sorting machine manufacturer. The company is the largest reverse vending machine provider globally and a leading provider of sensor-based sorting for the food, recycling and mining industries. TOMRA Food part of TOMRA, develops the world's most advanced grading, sorting, peeling, and analytical technology. Food growers, packers, and processors around the world use TOMRA machines to sort a variety of fresh whole products and processed food to maximize output and minimize waste.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Internal Communications intern will work with the P&O Manager and VP of Branding on all aspects of internal communications and people branding. The ideal candidate is energetic, hard-working, social media and web-savvy, and brimming with ideas about creative ways to engage TOMRA’s internal audiences. The successful intern will gain hands-on experience in many aspects of communications while helping with a wide range of projects including:

  • Review and structure the lay out of the TOMRA Share People & Organization pages.
  • Approach from a User Experience point of view as an employee, as a manager and as a P&O professional
  • Develop content for our internal and external websites and other communication platforms.
  • Assist with streamlining and collating the different communication channels within TOMRA Food.
  • Assist with developing the recruitment strategy for P&O food including the communication and sharing of best practices
  • Make a market analysis of our current brand image
  • Support day-to-day communication activities.
  • Assist with the development of a new graduate Program and Internship Program
  • Build a calendar for our wellness 2021 program.
  • Assisting with digitization of human resources information.
  • Fulfil other responsibilities and tasks on demand (e.g. administrative support).

Skills and abilities

Excellent writing and creativity skills

Proficient in MS. Knowledge of Adobe an advantage

Excellent knowledge of social networks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, discretion and confidentially

Team-oriented work ethic

Positive and constructive attitude


Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or similar
