Communications Manager (f/m)

As a member of the marketing team, you will play a central role in creating external communications for print and digital media: In close collaboration with the Global Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement communication and strategies for TOMRA Sorting Recycling.

With 15 offices worldwide and a network of local agents and distributors, we design and manufacture sensor-based sorting technology for the global recycling and waste management industry.


  • Plan public relations and media campaigns, including development of budgets
  • Arrange and conduct (as necessary) interviews with media outlets
  • Work with internal stakeholders at all levels to produce relevant content
  • Creating and/or fine-tuning marketing literature, transforming technical texts to readable and compelling copy that clearly communicate customer benefits
  • Producing, editing and adjusting press releases, articles, customer case studies…etc. for public relations campaigns
  • Being responsible for creating, proofreading and editing all content on the TOMRA Sorting Recycling Website
  • Setting up, writing and managing engaging and relevant content for social media and digital campaigns
  • Project management, as necessary



  • The ability to understand, grasp and communicate about technical products in a changing market
  • English (very good - native speaker level)
  • Must be able to present thoughts into writing in a succinct way and possess an ability to create compelling content in no time
  • Strong experience with social media (incl. LinkedIn, Blogging, etc.) is necessary
  • Must be able to create content with various tones
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Bachelor in Communication (or equivalent formal training)
  • Minimum 2 -3 years relevant work experience
  • Precise and quick working style
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-initiating, team player able to work under tight deadlines
  • Must be highly creative, enthusiastic and a quick thinker
  • Results-oriented, efficient, networking, customer focused, decisive and proactive
  • Concrete project management skills
