Segment Manager "Wood Based Panel Industry" (all genders)

We follow ambitious plans to expand the excellent market position and further shape the organization in the next years. To participate in reaching this goal the main role of the Segment Manager will be to organize and efficiently manage the sales activities in the wood based panel industry Europe/worldwide. You will be responsible to manage and organize all sales activities and report to the Vice President, Head of Global Sales and Marketing Recycling | Sales.

Position Overview
The company is now looking to appoint a Segment Manager “Wood Based Panel Industry”.
We follow ambitious plans to expand the excellent market position and further shape the organization in the next years. To participate in reaching this goal the main role of the Segment Manager will be to organize and efficiently manage the sales activities in the wood based panel industry Europe/worldwide. You will be responsible to manage and organize all sales activities and report to the Vice President, Head of Global Sales and Marketing Recycling | Sales.
Together with the Country Manager Central Europe, the Segment Manager will be responsible for implementing a Systematic Sales Management approach.

Further tasks are:
Plan and execute sales activities worldwide and support on request also sales activities worldwide.
Responsible for the area of wood based panel industry (investment level typically EUR 200.000 – 1.500.000/order) including the annual sales budget for this segment.
Ensure the effective internal organization of processes and structures.
Develop, coach, and work together with the global sales team.
Execute the company strategy and support the Business Development Manager in evaluating new business fields if necessary.
Participate in exhibitions and conferences locally and on international events.
You are an active part of the Global Recycling Team.
Main Stakeholders are: Sales team Europe of 25 people, Global Service, Test Center, Project Management, Business Development, local Management in USA, Europe, Rest of World.

Your Profile
> 8 – 10 years’ experience in the wood-based panel industry (production, operation, erection of production facilities, equipment supplier, etc.) That is a must have for this position.
Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering or comparable technical background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience in selling large capital equipment or selling long project sales cycle or experience with sales of technical equipment in the recycling industry, also in managing Key Account Customers.
Experience from working in an international environment.
Have a proven track record of successful contract negotiation.
Act as a mature character who can gain respect from owners/clients in the wood-based panel industry.
You appreciate cultural differences and are willing to travel extensively, however the core role is European.
