Digital Sales Manager, TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital NORTHERN EUROPE 

TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital is seeking a Sales Manager for our digital portfolio. Only 2-4% of the beverage containers consumed worldwide are collected for closed-loop recycling. TOMRA has a tremendous opportunity to ensure that we keep even more bottles and cans out of our oceans, landfills and streets. TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital is an autonomous business unit responsible to develop, sell and operate cloud-based SaaS solutions for reverse vending machines, online monitoring and service, business intelligence, and value-generating services including consumer engagement and e-payout solutions. The unit consists of a core group of around 30 people located primarily in Asker, Norway in addition to regional sales resources located in the markets.

TOMRA Collection Solutions Digital is now searching for a Digital Sales Manager to be responsible for driving sales and building customer relations primarily within the retail sector across Northern Europe which includes: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania and UK.

TOMRA is on a very exciting expansion journey and we are looking for talent to build continued successful solutions for reverse vending. Our business expansion is now progressing and we are therefore seeking a natural leader who can influence individuals and drive digital sales to success within the region. As a Digital Sales Manager you are goal- and result oriented, have a sense of urgency, a drive to succeed and easy to collaborate with. You can communicate the value of intangible and complex software products to customers, and with proven sales success. You are analytical and structured; thinking ahead while capturing opportunities to build revenue and business in the short term. You are enthusiastic about technology and digitalization; understand business intelligence and analytics, consumer engagement, big data, digital payment and reward schemes. The Sales Manager Digital is responsible for:

  • Driving digital sales and building customer relations primarily within the retail sector across Northern Europe.
  • Leading the digital sales to success.
  • Develop, pilot and implement digital retailing solutions for existing and new customers
  • Support in the development of user-centred solutions to digitalize recycling services for customers and end-users.
  • Analysis and definition of digital business processes and transformation into product requirements in the form of user stories and epics in close cooperation with the business owners and the software developers.
  • Shape digital sales strategy, determine priorities, help secure resources and org alignment, lead execution of those opportunities across all functions, and evangelize your results with client stakeholders.
  • Build quantifiable business cases that will persuade clients to support and implement recommendations as quickly as possible.
  • Strategically package our digital solutions to meet customer needs
  • Lead execution across functions including sales representatives, field personnel, marketing, customer service/CRM and others.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and risks to project outcomes.
  • Be a business partner to customers and lead digital sales across Northern Europe.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this position, you have three to five years of experience from a digital sales role. You have worked within sales and have an interest within the field of business intelligence, IoT, consumer engagement and loyalty schemes. Excellent sales skills and ability to work with demanding internal and external customers is required. Alternative relevant experience will be considered. You have a commercial mindset and understanding of business as well as experience of leading large complex transformative projects.

You make decisions and initiate actions in an easy matter, at the same time you work in a structured and organized way which makes it easy for you to adapt and respond to change. You have a positive mindset.

You enjoy working at high speed and have good self-esteem to handle pressure and adversity without losing your energy. You are fluent in English and Swedish and have an educational background with a relevant university degree.

The position as Sales Manager is located in Sollentuna, Sweden. Travelling within Nordic countries, Baltics and the UK will be required. Frequent travel to TOMRA HQ in Asker, Norway is to be expected.

The position reports to Head of TCS Digital located in Asker, Norway, with a dotted reporting line to the TCS Northern Europe Sales and Service Director located in Sollentuna, Sweden.
