Only 2-4% of the beverage containers consumed worldwide are collected for closed-loop recycling. TOMRA is on a very exciting expansion journey and we are looking for talent to build continued successful solutions for reverse vending. Our business expansion is now progressing into UK and we are therefore seeking a natural leader who can influence individuals and drive projects to success. As a Senior Project Manager UK you are organized, structured, action oriented and easy to collaborate with. You are business- and result oriented with drive and team building skills. Given our business expansion into UK, we will need a strong person to lead this overall market expansion project collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Consequently, it is important with strong leadership skills and a “can do” attitude. In this position you will work closely with management, the Business Unit and the Headquarters office as well as individuals from various departments, so strong communication and collaboration skills will be required. The Senior Project Manager carries the operational day-to-day responsibility for the progress, resource planning and utilization, as well as the overall deliverables for the project. Your focus will be to establish and finalize the project plan and follow it through meeting deadlines and targets and bringing the overall market project to success.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for:
- Leading the overall UK market expansion project following corporate project management guidelines
- Execute the project according to agreed timelines, budget and deliveries
- Reporting project status to the Global Steering group and collaborate with the project core team
- Leading the project to success
- Ensuring the business and commercial aspects of the project are met
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this position, you have at least five years of experience as a professional Project Manager. You have a commercial mindset and understanding of business as well as experience of leading large complex transformative projects.
As a person, you deliver results and meet customer expectations. You are business minded and driven by exceeding expectations. You make decisions and initiate actions easily; at the same time you work in a structured and organized way that makes it easy for you to adapt and respond to change. You have a positive mindset.
You enjoy working at high speed and have good self-esteem to handle pressure and adversity without losing your energy. You are fluent in English and have an educational background as B.Sc. or M.Sc.
The position as Senior Project Manager is preferably located in London, UK but can also be located in Stockholm or Oslo/Asker initially. For a candidate located in Sweden/Norway, the position will require extensive travelling to the UK. The position as Senior Project Manager also opens for the possibility to re-locate to other markets across Europe over the next few years, which means we are looking for candidates who will appreciate the opportunity to have an international career.
The position will report into the Managing Director for UK Collection Solutions and be part of the UK Collection Solutions Management team. You will be part of the Northern Europe Business Unit.
