The regional IT Manager EMEA is responsible to coordinate infrastructure and support requirements for all offices in the region. This requires balancing of local and enterprise needs. You need to establish a strong relationship with the local TOMRA entities, understanding their needs and aspirations. The regional IT manager guides the entities in making best use of the group provided IT services.

You coordinate and contribute to the group wide infrastructure architecture, local implementations of IT solutions and provide guidance for IT Operations Team Leaders, IT Support Coordinators and other IT staff in the region. You assure the proper resources are in place and used efficiently.

As a part of the IT Infrastructure and Support Leadership Team you contribute to global IT solutions offering.

There is a progression to regional IT Director which comes with seniority in the role and experience in stakeholder management with very little involvement of other leaders.

 

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

  • Keep IT stakeholders such as MDs, country managers, factory managers informed about IT services and guide them in the associated processes. Pull information from them to provide optimal support.
  • Manage expectations and provide guidance on how to utilize the Group IT offering
  • Provide an interface to Group IT management to address important local challenges
  • Promote policies and new technologies as an IT evangelist for the region
  • Assure services provided are according to the Group IT offering (Service Catalogue) and guide local senior management on divisional vs. group offerings
  • Keep local stakeholders updated in case of a severe incident

 

Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure Group IT policies are followed
  • Guide local entities in how to apply group policies

IT Infrastructure and Support Leadership

  • Contribute to strategy and technology roadmaps, assuring regional requirements are met

IT Operations

  • Ensure smooth IT operations in all regional offices, also covering offices without local IT staff
  • Assure important matters are escalated, including involvement of the global team
  • Assure the IT infrastructure meets local demands and global guidelines, operates and is continuously monitored
  • Provide sufficient redundancy and have common disaster recovery scenarios prepared and tested
  • Assure backup and replication capabilities for the regional data centers are in line with group standards (in cooperation with and under the guidance of the IT Infrastructure Director)

     

    Budget

  • Update regional IT requirements
  • Prepare regional staff, investment and cost budgets

     

    Team Leading

  • Hold frequent team meetings (all-hands) for the IT employees in the region
  • Continuously strengthen the team spirit and support interaction of each team member with peers in other regions

 

Candidate Profile

  • Superior skills in stakeholder management
  • Senior role (regional IT Director): 10+ years of experience in IT Operations and extensive experience in stakeholder management
  • Profound knowledge in IT infrastructure architecture and systems operation (SAN, NAS, network, virtualization)
  • Profound knowledge in IT Service Management and IT Customer Support
  • University degree in Computer Science (M.Sc.) and at least 8 years of experience in IT operations
  • Fluent in English
  • Superior communication, team and social skills
