For our Digital Marketing Department we are hiring a Marketing & Communication Manager. 

  • The Marketing & Communication Manager leads and supports the external & internal global marketing and communication of digital solutions developed and operated by TS Digital, such as TOMRA Insight across the TOMRA divisions TRM (Recycling, Mining) and TFS (Processed Food and Fresh Food).
  • The Marketing & Communication Manager creates clear messages and develops content demonstrating the differentiation and customer value created through digital solutions like TOMRA Insight and future products.
  • The Marketing & Communication Manager is responsible to refine, develop, implement, align, and guide the
    • external marketing strategy for digital solutions
    • internal communication strategy
    • adjustment of the TS Digital story to the new TOMRA branding
    • required marketing agencies for support
    • messaging, tone of voice, and content planning
    • coordination of activities
    • budget, structures, resources, and tools to support the selling of the digital solutions and the digital transformation of our customers, along with the internal recognition and enablement of these solutions under the responsibility of TS Digital.
  • The Marketing & Communication Manager is closely linked, collaborates, and coordinates activities with the TOMRA group and business divisions, including, but not limited to Marketing & Communication, and Product Management, but also by directly working with the Product Owner, Lead UI/UX Designer, and the Head of Digital Operations and the respective teams in TS Digital.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Adjust the existing marketing strategy for TS Digital and the positioning of digital solutions, such as TOMRA Insight in the respective markets based on feedback, experience, and the new TOMRA branding.
  • Create and manage the distribution of clear messages and content showing the value of the digital solutions under the responsibility of TS Digital.
  • Evaluate customer feedback, measure, and analyze effectiveness of the marketing and communication activities to match marketing activities accordingly.
  • Overlooking and maintaining financial budgets and targets and implementing and reporting on respective key performance indicators.
  • Guide and support the marketing teams in the business streams in creating marketing material specific for customers based on the developed messages and content.
  • Lead the external marketing agencies in generating the right content and a compelling story matching the TOMRA brand.
  • Establish a direct communication channel to the TOMRA Insight users to provide updates, news, but also to enable a voice of the user into the organization.
  • Support the digital transformation of TOMRA by pushing and driving the internal communication for TS Digital to create more excitement, buy-in, and pull in the business divisions.
  • Develop an internal communication platform to easily share content with the business streams.
  • Support and advise events across the business streams related to TS Digital and the digital solutions.
  • Overlooking and maintaining financial budgets and targets and implementing and reporting on respective key performance indicators.


Candidate Profile:

  • Eloquent and empathic communicator (spoken and written) being able to convince, inspire, and lead in a global network organization (English is a must, other languages are welcome).
  • Good sense about how to convey specific messages to people in international settings using state of the art tools and channels.
  • Understood, that digital products and data driven solutions are a key success factor in the future.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on, and structured approach, combined with good organizational skills.
  • Open minded and positive attitude
  • Experience promoting digital solutions in an industrial B2B environment.
  • Basic experience with marketing & analytics tools (Hubspot, Google Analytics, Hotjar, Power BI, ...).
  • Some experience in copywriting and design of marketing material.
  • Believing in globally distributed, cross-functional network organizations.
  • Willingness to learn and shape the future every day.



  • Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, Project Management or similar – alternatively 5 years of work experience in a similar role.


Other Skills/abilities:

  • Socially outgoing, networking, and empathy to understand the customers’ needs and challenges.
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English and ideally Dutch, French, and/ or German.
  • Decide thoughtfully but quickly.
  • Handle stress and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours due to team members located in New Zealand, Europe, US, and China.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (<25%).
