TOMRA is seeking an experienced head of global service recycling with technical know-how and leadership skills.

OUR ROLE

TOMRA’s sensor-based solutions play a key role in optimizing resource productivity, particularly in the fields of waste management and recycling, where sensor-based technology can be used to increase precision and streamline processes.

To achieve the ambitious aim of a circular economy, it is necessary to employ state-of-the-art approaches that push boundaries, and TOMRA’s reverse vending and waste sorting solutions help to achieve this by recovering materials and providing valuable insight into the composition of these materials.

The result is a greater understanding of where efficiencies can be made to minimize costs and waste, and better utilize resources within a closed loop – further mitigating the impact of CO2 and other emissions and inefficiencies.

Position Overview

  • The Head of Global Service Recycling is responsible for the global Service revenue in the Business Stream (approx. 27 m€ in 2022)
  • and for the proper installation and commissioning process for new machines (total machine revenue approx. 150-200 m€)
  • Further responsibilities are for both customer and employee satisfaction in close cooperation with the global Sales team
  • As the Head of Global Services you are both functional and disciplinary leader of a multi-national Serviceteam (currently approx. 180 – 200 FTEs).
  • Moreover, you lead a multinational and multicultural team via currently 6 direct reports
  • Aside from this, you are part of the Core Management Team Recycling

Role and Responsibilities

  • To maximize revenue and profitability by sales of labor, parts and other value added products and services.
  • To develop a Recycling Service Strategy enforcing the transformation of a “traditional” Service product portfolio based on visits and parts to a “digital” portfolio based on existing and new offerings.
  • Control internal and external resources in line with Business stream targets.
  • Ensure compliance – in particular regarding HSE according to the group guidelines.
  • Develop local leaders according TOMRA values and Leadership principles – share best practice for operational excellence
  • Enhance the reputation of TSS at every opportunity with customers and partners.
  • Steer the team based on KPIs and targets

Candidate Profile

  • Excellent communication skills with a high degree of technical Knowhow
  • Technical degree in e.g., engineering
  • 5-8 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Proven ability to bridge different cultures worldwide
  • Good understanding of customer processes and customer needs, same as sales needs
  • Fluent in English, due to the global expansion territories other languages are welcome (Spanish, Chinese, German)
  • Strong people focused leadership skills
  • Experience and knowledge of modern business and financial control methods
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30-50%)
