Stuart will be responsible for developing strategy, managing operations, overseeing corporate and legal compliance and delivering the company’s ambitious growth objectives.

As Head of TOMRA Sorting Ltd UK, Stuart will report into TOMRA Sorting’s Service Director Recycling and will head up the UK service, administration and finance departments across the company’s recycling and food sales and business streams. He will be based out of TOMRA Sorting’s new offices and service centre in Loughborough.

Expertise in engineering, electronics and management
Stuart joined TOMRA Sorting – then TITECH Limited – in May 2008 before moving to the role of UK Service Manager in 2011. He brings over 25 years of expertise in engineering, electronics and management to the role. His previous experience includes eight years with Accu-Sort Systems Inc (Europe) and twenty years with Crosfield Electronics.

Jonathan Clarke, Commercial Director Recycling for TOMRA Sorting Recycling, comments: “We’re delighted to see Stuart take on this key role for the company in the UK, which remains a core growth area for the TOMRA brand. Stuart’s in-depth understanding of our business and our technologies, coupled with his extensive international service and support experience, make him the ideal candidate to take on this challenging role as Head of TOMRA Sorting UK.”

Continued focus on service and technical support
Stuart adds: “With a number of large-scale projects in the pipeline it’s a very exciting time to be taking on this position. Our continued focus on service and technical support differentiates TOMRA from our competitors – few people realise that in the UK alone we have a team of seven service engineers. My priorities will be to deliver the highest level of customer care, to provide current and future TOMRA customers with the best possible solutions for their business and to create an organisation that is capable of meeting the corporate challenges of the next five years.
