Just a year after TOMRA’s acquisition of Compac, the two companies are coming together to unveil the results of their shared passion for innovation at the largest trade show for the fresh produce industry, Fruit Logistica 2018. There, they will present several of their premier fresh and processed production sorting solutions, including:
- TOMRA 5B - The TOMRA 5B sorting machine guarantees optimal sorting of your food products, from vegetables and potatoes to leafy products. It helps you to meet the highest standards for both food safety and quality.
- Spectrim – The award winning Spectrim platform combines key elements within hardware, software and operational optimization to offer the most advanced sorting platform that is not only powerful, but easy for the operator to understand and use.
- Inspectra 2 – Inspectra 2 was announced in 2017 and is officially launching at Fruit Logistica 2018. Inspectra 2 uses a spectrometer to measure the internal properties of fresh produce, ensuring a quality eating experience for consumers.
- Cherry Total View – Total View is the latest upgrade to Compac’s cherry grading solution. A combination of learnings from Compac’s Spectrim platform and newly developed End View camera, allowing cherry packers to see the whole cherry at production speeds. The solution was installed and proved very successful during the recent New Zealand cherry season.
TOMRA and Compac will demonstrate how these solutions will lead the industry’s initiative to continue to feed a growing planet and meet the demands for fresh quality fruit and vegetables at Fruit Logistica’s Hall 5.1 B-15.
Joining TOMRA and Compac are valued partners from a variety of markets, including SIENZ, ICOEL, Xact and Masgcor, sharing knowledge on how certain markets pack produce. Partner experts will be available to speak on specific market requirements, products to deliver a best-of-breed solution and share their knowledge on accessing premium export markets.
In addition to the physical demonstrations, TOMRA and Compac will have interactive touchscreens to illustrate products in a packhouse environment and, a first for TOMRA at Fruit Logistica, a virtual reality (VR) exhibit to give attendees a unique experience of TOMRA machines.
Mike Riley, Head of TOMRA Food, will present at the Fruitnet World of Fresh Ideas on February 6 and discuss The Digital Dividend – Big Data will yield big results for the Food Industry on the Fruit Logistica Tech Stage on February 8.
