The TOMRA IQF meat sorter complies with the specific requirements of the meat industry in relation to material handling and sanitation.
TOMRA's Nimbus meat sorter detects and rejects all kinds of foreign material, such as plastics in various colors, wood, aluminum, glass, paper, and metal pieces.
WORKING PRINCIPLE NIMBUS MEAT SORTER
Lasers scan the IQF meat from two sides, which detect and reject discoloration and foreign material milliseconds later with air valves.
The machine uses a feed shaker to spread the product uniformly in a single layer before the free-fall chute. It then falls towards the inspection zone and is spread out by gravitation, where the lasers scan it. A few milliseconds later, defective pieces are hit with a precise and powerful burst of air, which sends them into the rejection zone, while the good product continues its natural free-fall.
The machine can be set in different ways for precise sorting.
CALIBRATION-FREE
The Nimbus meat sorter is exceptionally user-friendly, and it is calibration-free, which is the ultimate proof of stability.
The sorter has been adapted to make it easy for cleaning and ensure there are no hidden parts where meat could stick. The Nimbus sorter has an open-frame design and a unique mount for optics to prevent bacteria growth in the frame and sloped surfaces to avoid products lying on the shelf.
