20 years sensor-based sorting in a nutshell

20 September 2016

20th anniversary

This year is a year full of events so far: IFAT Munich, the X-TRACT launch, the kick-off of the TOMRA Leads series with its global conference series focused on MSW and a lot more to come.

IFAT Munich also marked an important milestone for TOMRA´s Recycling division, which commemorates two decades of successful business. Formerly launched as Norwegian company TITECH Autosort in 1996, the firm emerged from an R&D project starting in 1993, and has pioneered in all aspects since its formation 20 years ago

Tom Eng, Head of TOMRA Sorting Recycling, shared his thoughts on the industry changing advances made by the company with Waste Management World at IFAT 2016. Tom also talked about the company's latest developments including its new X-TRACT sensor-based sorting system for the metal and waste recycling industry, and TOMRA Care, an integrated range of support services. He also threw a glimpse into the future development of the industry.
