TOMRA wins the Norwegian Export Prize 2025

Norway's most prestigious export award recognizes TOMRA's decades of turning a simple idea – automated bottle sorting – into technology transforming global value chains.

Recognising Norwegian Export Excellence in International Markets

TOMRA has been awarded the Norwegian Export Prize (Eksportprisen) at this year's Export Conference (Eksportkonferansen). The prize is presented annually to a Norwegian exporting company that has successfully created value in Norway by building a strong position in international markets.

TOMRA was selected from a strong field of finalists that included medtech company Sero (Akershus) and maritime communications leader Jotron (Larvik, Vestfold), underscoring the high calibre of Norwegian export businesses active on the global stage today.

Today, the company’s collection and sorting solutions are deployed across more than 100 countries, helping businesses, municipalities and consumers recover valuable materials and reduce waste.

This is an example of Norwegian technology reaching out into the world and contributing to the fulfilment of Europe’s goals for recycling and sustainable resource use.
