9th China International Recycled Polyester Conference 2013

Wyndham Bund East Shanghai Hotel, Stand no. #2 / No.25 Ning Guo Road, Yangpu District, Shanghai, China

11 - 13 September 2013

In 2013, China recycled fiber industry is facing a shortage in domestic demand, while export is also shrinking due to RMB appreciation. Nevertheless, domestic capacity is still booming, particularly with hollow fibers which have made sound margin for suppliers. The supply gap of waste bottle is thus expanded, driving waste bottle prices high, especially after the Green Fence Operation and Rules on and Environmental Protection Management of Imported Waste Plastic are issued. Besides high feedstock costs, constant inflation and rising labor costs are also eroding suppliers’ margin. As a result, competition within the industry intensified in a longer market.
