Paris, 26 May 2025 – TOMRA will unveil two solutions at this year’s Reuse Economy Expo Fair in Paris (May 26–27), showcasing its continued commitment to advancing reuse and circularity in packaging systems.
The global reverse vending leader, TOMRA Collection is launching a new reverse vending machine (RVM) exclusively to support France’s expanding Réemploi (Reuse) initiative for glass containers.
The TOMRA T70 Dual BottleGlide was built upon the trusted TOMRA T70 Dual RVM platform. The machine comes with a newly developed “zigzag” glass return system that gently slows and aligns reusable glass containers to prevent breakage. The machine accommodates a Euro-pallet bin that can be easily removed, making it easier for staff to replace it when full, gaining more time for other business activities and a credit card reader will facilitate digital payouts to consumers. The smart design ensures containers can be collected in good condition, then sanitized and reused by producers.
“France is undergoing a major shift toward sustainable packaging, and TOMRA Collection France is proud to play a key role in enabling this transition,” says Paul Fabiano, General Manager, TOMRA Collection France. “The T70 Dual BottleGlide is our answer to a market-specific need, and a testament to TOMRA’s flexibility and deep commitment to reuse.”
The first installations of the T70 Dual BottleGlide are already underway, supporting the French infrastructure for the reuse of glass containers – a solution that keeps materials in circulation rather than sending them to waste or downcycling processes.
Also debuting at the Reuse Economy Expo is TOMRA Reuse Collection Point (RCP), part of TOMRA Rotake, a return system designed for the growing reuse movement beyond beverage containers. TOMRA Rotake now accepts reusable food boxes, bowls, and cups, making it easier than ever for consumers to participate in circular solutions across a wider range of packaging types. The system offers instant deposit refunds directly to users’ mobile wallets or credit cards, delivering both convenience and speed. By expanding reuse infrastructure to include food service packaging, TOMRA is taking a significant step toward closing the loop on everyday consumption.
By designing smarter systems for resource recovery and reuse, TOMRA continues to lead the way in delivering circular solutions for a more sustainable future.
“As more European countries explore reuse as part of their circular economy strategies, TOMRA is uniquely positioned to support this shift with our proven track record in material recovery and system design,” says Paul Fabiano, General Manager, TOMRA Collection France. “We look forward to meeting stakeholders at the Reuse Expo Fair to exchange ideas and showcase what’s already possible today.”
In line with evolving EU legislation and national targets under the Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), TOMRA is committed to helping producers and retailers transition from single-use models to circular systems.
“Reuse is no longer a niche discussion, t’s a policy priority,” adds Stéphan Arino, Vice President of Public Affairs Western Europe at TOMRA. “We need infrastructure that enables reuse to be convenient, efficient, and scalable. This is exactly what TOMRA is designed to deliver.”
Visitors to the fair can experience TOMRA’s reuse solutions firsthand at Booth D1, with interactive demonstrations, expert talks, and the chance to explore how reuse can work in real-world retail and return settings.
