Employee Spotlights

Christian is a passionate mechanical design engineer from Indonesia. His journey took a major turn in 2013, when he was awarded a DAAD scholarship to study in Germany. He completed his M.Sc. in Systems Engineering & Engineering Management in 2015 – and Germany has been his second home ever since.
Before joining TOMRA in August 2023, he worked for several years as a mechanical design engineer in the semiconductor industry, gaining valuable experience that he now brings into his work at TOMRA.

Born in Argentina, Lorena studied Economics at UADE University and started her career by taking on her first controller role in a pharmaceutical company at 23. Even though she enjoyed her work, she felt she hadn’t travelled enough and wanted new experiences. So she stepped out of her comfort zone, moved abroad, and started again from scratch.

Based in Wedel, Germany, Anna Krause works as Senior Application Engineer XRT at TOMRA Mining, a subpart of TOMRA Recycling. She specializes in X-ray Transmission (XRT) applications, determining whether materials can be efficiently sorted, supporting on-site commissioning and optimization, and delivering training to help customers and colleagues unlock the full potential of TOMRA’s sorting technology.

Davide Bertolin graduated in 1994 as an industrial technician specializing in information technology. He first gained experience in the recycling industry, working hands-on with sorting technology as a technical specialist for more than three years. In 2012 he joined TOMRA as a Field Service Engineer, a role that took him on the road for six and a half years before moving into management. He led the Italian Field Service Team for six years, and since October 2024 he has been responsible for the entire South-East Europe Service Region.

Leonie, a passionate Software Developer at TOMRA Recycling, combines her expertise in computer vision with a commitment to sustainability. After joining in 2023, she has found joy in solving complex coding challenges and contributing to impactful technologies. Leonie values TOMRA's collaborative culture and actively co-leads the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group to foster inclusion, empathy, and community across the company.
