    Festivals in Aarhus, Denmark

Aarhus’ city-wide REUSEABLE system enables the city to scale and adapt its reuse collection infrastructure to handle consumption peaks during larger public events in the city. Mobile collection units are placed temporarily to collect packaging during festivals and street parties.

In addition to maintaining the regular reuse infrastructure in Aarhus connected to the REUSEABLE platform, TOMRA Reuse has provided extra return capacity and staffing for numerous events held in the city.

The benefits of using the REUSEABLE platform for Aarhus festivals

    • Citizens are already familiar with the REUSEABLE city system and have taken it to heart
    • Festivals can take advantage of the existing REUSEABLE infrastructure in Aarhus, using the same cup ordering, delivery and cleaning system
    • Placement of extra REUSEABLE return machines within the festival area offers great convenience for festival patrons, but they can also return their empty festival cups in the regular city system machines in Aarhus.
