SOPHISTICATED TECHNOLOGY.
HIGH PERFORMANCE.
The TOMRA 3A utilizes NIR (Near Infra-Red) multi-spectral sensors for an unobstructed assessment of every object, seamlessly identifying between a good product and foreign material. Color sensors also enable the detection of unwanted green potatoes. Positioned at the end of the conveyor belt, intelligent finger ejectors achieve superior foreign material and green potato removal with minimum loss of good product.
The strategic combination of multi-spectral pulsed LED technology, high-resolution cameras, and TOMRA analysis software ensures the accurate and consistent removal of stones, soil clods, rocks, wood, bone, plastic, glass, metal, and rubber.
Enclosed in a fully sealed box, the camera is tolerant of most environmental conditions such as rain, wind, dust, and heat, and the optical system has no moving parts, making the TOMRA 3A the most mobile, dependable, and stable sorter available.

Hear what our customers have to say: TREMONVILLERS, FRANCE
The farm of Tremonvilliers (Oise) is equipped with a TOMRA 3A to sort its potato and red beet crops. The Tremonvillers farm installed a TOMRA 3A sorter in the Fall of 2020 in a specially built shed to sort and prepare its potatoes and red beets as they leave the fields. The TOMRA 3A gives farmers complete control over the production cycle: adapting to harvest peaks, providing unrivaled sorting quality, and eliminating the need for manual sorting. The TOMRA 3A has been operational for a few weeks and should pay for itself in three years.

Working Principle
The produce is spread uniformly onto the infeed belt and scanned in-flight by a full-width NIR and color vision in the inspection zone. A few milliseconds later, the foreign material is rejected by intelligent finger ejectors, positioned off the end of the conveyor belt, while the good produce is conveyed away by the supplied accept take away conveyor.

When it comes to boosting productivity, optimizing efficiency, and maximizing value, information is key. The TOMRA 3A is installed with a highly intuitive touchscreen user interface, making adjustments quick and simple if needed. This allows for monitoring at a glance with the bright information-rich display providing data from the sort and empowering you with actionable data and total control.
