That’s equivalent to approximately 25,000 trucks of potatoes per year!

Almond sorting
We are able to detect and remove all kinds of foreign materials and defects such as stones, plastic, metal, glas, sticks, hull, in-shell almonds, pee wees, shell pieces (hard shells and paper shells), gummies, insect damage, doubles, rotten almonds, aflatoxin contaminated nuts, split almonds, chips and scratches.
Frupinsa, located in Tarragona, Spain, operates in the agri-food sector, dried fruit and specifically the almond. The NIMBUS BSI+ allows them to have a better work rate, fewer productions stops, less waste and an optimal product quality.
Other success stories
We are able to detect even the smallest defect with the least amount of passes. This allows us to reduce the rejection rate and provide the highest yield of quality product.
“TOMRA’s BSI+ technology made the difference. Especially TOMRA’s ability to target insect damage – not only major damage, but also the pinhole carpophilus-beetle bites – which was a real eye-opener.”
